Allen Riemer
Award Recipient
Shawn Bjornsson has received this
honor for the past 2 years.
Shawn Bjornsson wrote to
us: Thanks for doing a great job. My father passed away in May 2005 .
He was a great fishing partner of mine. Unfortunately he never made it to this
event but he would be proud of everybody for a job well done. The real winners
of this event were all the volunteers who donated there time for a great cause.
I have a quote on my office wall which says You make a Living by what you
Make. You make a life by what you Give. Thanks and less than 360 days till
the next tournament.

wrote: I'm very fortunate to have great friends and family who I can
ask for donations for this great cause. I'm also very lucky to deal with some
great companies who support me. I've lost a couple of uncles, a couple of
friends and a few clients and a great fishing partner (my father) to this awful
C WORD. I'm very optimistic that we will find a cure for this disease if people
continue supporting these events. I used to get teased because I could never
say no to a children's charity and now Cancer charities are also on the top of
my list. Keep up the great work and let's make this the largest Ice Fishing
Derby in Manitoba. Have a great day and we'll talk soon.
