I'm very fortunate to have great friends and family who I can ask for donations
for this great cause. I'm also very lucky to deal with some great companies who
support me. I've lost a couple of uncles, a couple of friends and a few clients
and a great fishing partner (my father) to this awful C WORD. I'm very
optimistic that we will find a cure for this disease if people continue
supporting these events. I used to get teased because I could never say no to a
children's charity and now Cancer charities are also on the top of my list.
Keep up the great work and let's make this the largest Ice Fishing Derby in
Manitoba. Have a great day and we'll talk soon.

Remembering Brian
LeClair
This event will continue to support families
affected by cancer. The first annual Walleye Warrior 24hour Ice Fishing
Marathon was held March 2005 in Gimli, Manitoba. Sadly one of the leading
organizers of the fund-raiser wasn't able to drop his fishing line into Lake
Winnipeg. Brian LeClair died February 7th, 2005; just a month before the
inaugural event.
